Hoping the Sun Returns to Again Very Soon
After years of living through a historic drought, the rains came and didn't end. More than 20 inches of rain in just a few months. The one time-dry out lakes suddenly overflowing. Weeks and weeks without sunshine.
What started every bit a approval, became a burden. Initially, the rain was an badgerer as weekend after weekend saw canceled plans, rained out sports events, waterlogged playgrounds, and mosquitos visibly thick in the air. And so the storms turned deadly and destructive, with tornados and devastating flooding, property ruined and lives lost.
Are storms raging in your life today?
Does information technology feel like the sun will never smoothen once again?
Do y'all wonder when the pelting will let up?
Have hope! After the tempest, the lord's day Volition shine over again!
Let God be your umbrella, your shelter from the storm.
Equally we moved from extreme drought to historic flooding, I'm reminded we will face up many trials in this life. Each season brings its own challenges.
What defines the states is how we face each challenge.
When tempest clouds get together on the horizon, y'all catch your umbrella and melody into the weather report. Yous listen warnings and trust the forecasters to go along you safe.
These are all good steps to take when the rain begins to autumn, only don't forget the all-time shelter of all – God. Umbrellas will fail and forecasts are flawed, just God will never leave your side. He is your refuge and shelter from any storm in your life.
Then, no matter the storm y'all're facing – from the sky or from life – place your trust in God and find safe harbor in his artillery.
After the tempest the sun will shine again.
In a brief respite from the rain, I noticed blue skies and a shining dominicus. I was reminded that behind every storm is at least a lilliputian sunshine. The rains will clear, the sun volition shine again, and God's promises are e'er true.
Afterward the neat overflowing, God gave Noah the sign of a rainbow as his promise to never again flood the earth. A rainbow does give us that first blink of hope, a sign that there is indeed sunshine beyond the clouds, simply it'southward the sun and blue skies that reaffirm that hope for me – even if they only make a fleeting advent.
And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I take set my rainbow in the clouds, and information technology will be the sign of the covenant between me and earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the globe and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will retrieve my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." – Genesis ix:12-15 (NIV)

Wait for the blessings in the storm.
Rain is nourishing. Water is cleansing.
Yet, as well much rain causes flooding. Large storms cause destruction.
Where is your focus in the storm?
Choose to look for the blessings in your storms. How is the tempest cleansing and refining you lot? Where do you come across God more than conspicuously in these trials? How is this bringing out the best in you and in those around you?
God doesn't punish u.s. with the storms of life, but he does ride them out with us. He can apply them to make u.s.a. new – to refine and remodel us through the process.
Take hope! Afterward the tempest comes the at-home.
Maybe you lot're living through a tempest. Peradventure the rains oasis't let upwardly in your life for longer than yous care to retrieve. Peradventure what began as an annoyance or pocket-size problem has turned into much more. Maybe you've been caught past a sudden, raging tempest that's showing no signs of letting upwards.
"Allow the states concur unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." – Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)
Look around you lot for the rainbow and concur onto the glimmer of hope that rainbows mean the sunday is somewhere behind those clouds.
Watch for the sun to shine once again, even if only for a fleeting moment.
Intermission and bask in its warmth. Enjoy the brightness of its lite.
Hold onto promise and remember God is there with you in the storm, fifty-fifty when the skies seem dark.
Remember that after the tempest, the sun will smoothen once more!
"Have I not commanded yous? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; practice not exist discouraged, for the Lord your God will exist with you wherever yous become." – Joshua 1:ix (NIV)
